Biography

I initially trained as a Registered General Nurse, qualifying in 1986. I worked as a staff nurse in the renal unit of the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and later in Tavistock Cottage Hospital, Devon. Clinical medicine taught me a lot about anatomy, physiology and pathology, and  about the power of the body to recover from illness.

I became interested in Craniosacral Therapy, which has a positive emphasis on building and maintaining health, and went on to train at the Karuna Institute, Devon under Franklyn Sills.  I established my practice as a craniosacral therapist in Edinburgh in 1989.

Subsequently I trained in Core Process Psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute, accrediting in 1998, and in Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology with Dr. Ray Castellino in 2000.

My career has shaped itself in response to interests, passions and curiosity. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to train with some of the most skilled and inspiring teachers in my chosen field.
